Software, with a clear line of reasoning.

I build healthcare data platforms. This is a record of the systems, decisions, and tradeoffs behind my work.

National Breathe Free · Live platform

Making healthcare operations easier to coordinate.

An internal platform serving 50+ clinics and 300+ total users. I led the design, across enrichment and insurance verification workflows.

One team's output becomes the next team's context

  1. Procedure insurance verification Establish coverage information for the scheduled procedure
  2. Insurance criteria review Review clinic documentation against insurance requirements
  3. Claim submissions Carry the reviewed information into submission work
  4. Appeals Use prior context and submission outcomes when an appeal is needed
An example of the cross-team workflow the platform supports and is being developed to connect. Clinics supply context; remote teams enrich it through each stage; analysts use the resulting data. Appeals apply when needed.
What travels between teams?

Each team contributes information the next team needs. Clinic context, verification results, review decisions and submission outcomes form a connected record. Source-controlled fields remain distinct from staff-entered information, and each team remains responsible for its own review.

Data systems that can recover.

I joined National Breathe Free in May 2024, straight out of college. I designed nearly the entire internal platform, with direction from our CTO and development support from another engineer.

Scaling the ETL pipeline has been the hardest part. If I were starting again, I would begin with ingestion and spend more time on the data model before building the frontend.
